General Policies

Minimum Stay Requirements: Two night reservations are required on most weekends and during peak foliage season (3rd weekend September through 3rd weekend October). Three night minimums are requested for major holiday weekends…please inquire at time of reservation.

Deposit/Cancellation Policy: All reservations must be secured by a deposit equal to 50% of the reserved stay, with a minimum of one night's room and tax.

For cancellations more than 14 days prior to arrival, or more than 30 days prior for holiday or foliage bookings, we will hold your full deposit for a future stay, or arrange for a refund of your deposit less a processing fee of $40. If cancellations or date changes occur within the required 14 or 30 day period, no deposit will be refunded or held for a future stay unless we are able to rebook the original dates, regardless of the reason for the cancellation. Arrival day cancellations, no shows, and/or early departures are responsible for full payment of the entire reserved stay unless we are able to rebook the room.

Children/Additional Person: All rooms have Queen or King sized beds, and are most comfortable for up to two persons. A third person may be accommodated in some rooms on a twin-sized aerobed for an additional charge of $35 per night. Advance reservations required. The Inn is not recommended for families with children under the age of five, nor can we accommodate more than three people in any one room.

Check-in/Check-out: Our check-in is anytime after 2 PM. Check-out is before 11 AM. Please contact our front desk if you plan to arrive later than 9PM so that we may prepare late check-in instructions for you.

Credit Cards: We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover.

Gift Certificates: Gift certificates are available for purchase in specific dollar amounts, and may be applied to guest rooms, special packages, or dinner in our restaurant. Some restrictions may apply, so please inquire with innkeeper.

Dining: A hearty country breakfast buffet featuring a hot entrée plus fresh fruit, home-baked pastries and muffins, granola, cereals, oatmeal, juices, coffee, and teas is included in our room rate. Complimentary afternoon tea and sweets are also offered. For fine dining, please join us for dinner by making advanced reservations between 5:30-8pm. Please note, our dining room may be closed some evenings during slow seasons, so call ahead.

Smoking: Per Vermont state law, the inn is an entirely smoke-free environment, however guests may smoke while enjoying our outdoor grounds. Penalties will apply for failure to comply with this policy.

Pets: We accept well-mannered housebroken dogs in select accommodations for a fee of $25 per pet per night. You must call in advance to check availability for our pet rooms.  Per Health Department guidelines, pets are not permitted in our dining facilities and other common areas. For the safety and comfort of all our guests, owners must comply with our Pet Policy.

Damage/Theft: Missing guest room items, or damage to rooms and/or furnishings above and beyond normal usage, will result in charges being added to guestbill up to and including full replacement value of the item(s), even if not discovered until after check-out.  This includes damage caused by guests' children, pets, or outside visitors.

Lost & Found: We are not responsible for guest items which are accidentally left behind. Guests must contact us immediately to determine if the item was found, and to make arrangements for shipping and handling charges.  If no contact within 30 days of departure, guest items are donated to a local shelter.
